I am constantly reinventing myself – so many languages to explore, and plug into, in order to report what I see, feel,
absorb; so the many stages of my growth – periods of transition, each one had to be; each happened overnight, so to speak.  I never wished to remain with a comfortable language to rest my head on.”

George P. Forgie – March 2009

George Forgie, Multimedia Artist

Professional Artist for over 50 years creating works in Oils, Drawings, Sculpture and Photography.  Have been represented in Galleries across Canada.

I am constantly reinventing myself – so many languages, disciplines to explore, and plug into, in order to report what I see, feel, absorb; so many stages of my growth – periods of transition, each one had to be; each happened overnight, so to speak. I never wished to remain with a comfortable style (language) to rest my head upon.  Throughout my creative years l have tasted a variety of subject matters yet remained primarily with the landscape and the ever changing elements of the human figure.

At present, working on a series of large pen and ink drawings under the Title of “My Absurd World”.
